Job description

At ARISE, responsibility is at the heart of everything we do. Every day, we dedicate ourselves to realizing our clients’ visions and driving their digital projects to success. As a community of experts, we support each other and grow together to achieve exceptional results. Our sense of responsibility – toward our clients and our colleagues – defines our success.

Join us at ARISE in shaping a new DevOps Product Management role. This is a unique opportunity to help build an offering at the intersection of DevOps and product management. You will work on complex delivery challenges with our clients while actively contributing to the evolution and impact of this role in the market.

ARISE with us and apply now as a DevOps Product Manager (m/f/d) in a permanent position. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Germany, with regular on-site client engagements (approx. 2 days per week).

Your Responsibilities:

  • You work as a DevOps Product Manager (m/f/d) on complex platform and infrastructure initiatives, helping our clients improve the stability, scalability and effectiveness of their delivery systems.

  • You analyze existing delivery setups across engineering, operations and platform teams, identify systemic bottlenecks such as fragile releases, inefficient handoffs, unclear ownership or low platform adoption and make these issues visible to technical and business stakeholders.

  • You approach DevOps and platform capabilities as a product: defining a clear vision, strategy and roadmap for delivery improvements across areas such as CI/CD, platform engineering, release processes and developer experience.

  • You prioritize systemic improvements to the delivery system, ensuring that investments focus on the highest leverage points for reliability, delivery speed and operational efficiency.

  • You collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Security and Product teams to align technical improvements with business priorities and ensure sustainable implementation.

  • You translate developer and operator needs into structured product requirements, feature definitions and outcome-oriented backlogs that guide platform and DevOps initiatives.

  • You use hands-on knowledge of modern DevOps toolchains (e.g. GitLab, Harbor, Harness, ArgoCD, Artifactory, Renovate, Aqua, Jira) to understand operational realities and support pragmatic improvements in tools, workflows and automation.

  • You contribute to the development of ARISE’s DevOps Product Management offering by shaping approaches, discovery formats and consulting perspectives that help clients identify and address delivery system challenges earlier.

Depending on the engagement, you may initially enter organizations through DevOps or platform engineering work, build operational credibility and from this position help establish broader mandates that address systemic delivery challenges.

Your Benefits:

  • Attractive compensation: We offer a competitive overall package consisting of an annual salary aligned with current market standards, plus an additional bonus package with further individual benefits.

  • Extensive development opportunities: You’ll receive comprehensive onboarding and have access to exciting, hands-on learning modules through our ARISE College, where you can continuously expand your skills.

  • Modern company culture: We embrace flat hierarchies and a value-driven culture where people come first. Your opinion and your contribution truly matter to us.

  • Opportunities to shape and grow: Be part of our growth story and actively help shape the future of ARISE. Your ideas and commitment are welcome and appreciated.

  • Community and team spirit: You’ll work with a team that is more than just colleagues – we are a community that supports, challenges, and inspires each other.

  • Flexibility: With a high degree of remote work, you can work from anywhere in Germany and organize your workday flexibly.

  • Investment in your future: ARISE actively invests in your professional growth through trainings, workshops, and personal coaching. You can also look forward to annual workations in inspiring European destinations, regular offsites, and many other benefits that enrich both your professional and personal life.

Job requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in technical product management, ideally in platform engineering or cloud.

  • You have a strong understanding of DevOps practices and delivery systems, including areas such as CI/CD, platform engineering, release processes, developer experience or infrastructure automation.

  • You are able to analyze complex engineering environments, identify systemic bottlenecks in the delivery process and derive pragmatic improvements together with engineering teams.

  • You understand the needs of developers and IT operators, ideally through past or current practical experience as a DevOps engineer or practitioner, or through deep technical product management.

  • Familiar with platform engineering and cloud-native concepts (Kubernetes, GitOps, etc.) and modern CI/CD tools for cloud-native development.

  • You don't shy away from security and compliance while optimizing the developer experience.

  • You bring an agile mindset and you are confident in Scrum or SAFe. You prioritize outcome over output and focus on continuous value delivery.

  • You are able to communicate effectively with both engineers and business stakeholders and can explain technical trade-offs in a clear and pragmatic way.

  • Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).

  • Values such as loyalty, fairness, and empathy shape your actions. You seek a balance between professional recognition and human appreciation.

  • You think in terms of solutions and recognize business potential. In doing so, you act like an entrepreneur within the company.
